The server-room clients for XPS can include the ECN4 XD server, a Scaled N4 XD service, a dispatcher for PrimeRoute, a scheduler client, and the statistics server client for Monitor and Analytics. You configure each server-room client with privileges that enable the functions they perform:
For the ECN4 XD server, see Configure the ECN4 XD server (on page 1).
For a Scaled N4 XD service, see Configure the N4 XD server(s) (on page 1).
For the dispatcher for PrimeRoute, privileges do not exist to nominate a dispatcher client, anyone can perform this task. To nominate a dedicated dispatcher, see Set a dispatching group or dedicated dispatcher for a pool in the Navis N4: Equipment Control Administrator and User Guide.
For the statistics server for Monitor and Analytics, see Set up an XPS client as the statistics server.
For larger terminals, to offload vessel discharge decking requests from the XPS server to free up XPS processing bandwidth, you can consider implementing a Scaled N4 XD service. For more information, see What is a Scaled N4 XD service? (on page 1)..
